Beleived to be kirkpatrick. i have a similar cock bird with a frill its not a trait of the Kirkpatrick i would suggest its a cross with Delbar or Jansen my cross is a Jansen but also have Delbar as well

swilcox Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Aad Van Berkal told me that he bred most of his grizzles from Grizzle paired to a Smokey Cheq or Blue. He said if you pair grizzle to grizzle they tend to go whiter.

He said if you pair grizzle to grizzle they tend to go whiter. :)Yes i have found that grizzle paired to grizzle breed white grizzels,`,and three bar blues i have put chequers and blues to grizzels which have bred smokey chequers and dark grizzels.

He said if you pair grizzle to grizzle they tend to go whiter. grizzle to grizzle do go whiter so pairing to a chequer or blue stops them getting too white however this can reduce the number of grizzles been bred one nest will have one blue and a grizzle on and next may have two grizzles
