pigeonpete Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Hi all, just a bit of a puzzler for me, im not in any way taking away the fantastic performance of g williams who won 1st and 2nd open, great performance, but i was just looking at the result in the homing world, and i might be wrong, but i thought the birds cant be timed on exactly the same velocity??what would have happend if they had been from seperate lofts on exaxt same velocity? and what would have happened had they been pooled? how would you determine a true winner? as both birds are exact? and you arnt allowed 2 time 2 birds into the same t3? please dont think im trying to start an argument or anything, just a bit confused, and wanting someone to put me straight. cheers
retired Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Not sure about the Welsh union but think the RPRA changed the rule to accomodate for ETS. As for deciding a winner - Guess its a case of flipping a coin lol

Guest strapper Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 totally agree, so which of these birds really won? one had a featherlice on its beak..thats the winner..it was a foto finnish ;D ;D ;D dunno m8 puzzling for sure.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Althought the ets time and vel for the both pigeons are the same, the vel only shows down 3 decimal places but the ets within itself can break it down to 4,5 or 6 decimal places. Well thats what i was told by a ets rep.
