just ask me Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 if u separate them for two weeks if possible i mean cocks and hens I'm not sure what u are feeding but id put them on a lighter feed too hens are not great too pair when they are too heavy wheatgerm oil also helps if u let us know a little about your feeding set up I'm sure u will answers that u require hard to answer as we need a little info
blaz Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 can i lock the pair up in the nest box gfor a day or so no the cock will cause to much damage to the hen that's why i said a secsion . the hen needs a bit space to get out his road. it is unlikely to scalp the hen .as i have done this on a number of occasions myself with out any bad damage to the hen . or if both birds are flying in and out let both out together on their own. for a few days .
Guest SkyMaster Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 not witrhout a partition between them as the cock may scalp the hen not at all just upturn the nest pan it gives the hen a way of getting out of reach of the cock or even a brick make sure your birds have been seperated before pairing up it makes it much easier
