Guest bigda Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Whats the reason for pigeons being double rubbered for national races the reason is for security should the bird lose one on route and you cant time it in, the second security is if the bird dose do a fast time then, they can ask for the second rubber to be produced to check, the bird is home and in your shed
mac Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 the reason for double rubbers in lon races was a back up put int a second clock in the event of a problem with your first clock stopping etc. many set two clocks for natinal racing for that very reason
cowman Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 how do you get on using ets cos under rpra rules only 1 clock can be used a second clock can only be used in the event of clock 1 failing .

mac Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 i should also have said that if your first clock was ok at checking they never opened the second clock. the drill was red rubber into first clock snd blue rubber in second clock. you also to mark your main clock as 1st clock
