wings Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Today i had my young birds out around the loft at about 06.30 flying around with them was a white grizzle pigeon, when my birds came in it sat on the roof, not worried about that, i then went out for wealk with the dogs for a couple of hours, on returning to my house i found that this young bird had found its way in to my young birds so i caught it and chucked it up hoping it would fly away to its home ( i noticed it had a telephonr number ring on it with the code the same as mine) when i had chucked it up it just flew and sat on next doors roof, still not to bothered other than having birds sitting on roofs is not my thing, 2 hours later young bird still around next thing i know its back in my loft. so i phones this guy up and tells him that i have one of his young birds and it keeps entering my loft, frankly his attitude was crap, the bird it self was covered in feather lice and looked and felt like it could have done with a good meal. the bird is still on my roof now, if that had been one of my pigeons i would have been straight round and collected it from who ever had it, one to get it back to it's own loft and the other to stop it being a nuisance to other fanciers, whta do members think of this.
kev01293 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 report it wings like numpty said i know what you mean about crap attitude though as i reported one yesterday and the owner said he would ring back but didnt so i called him today and he really couldnt give a t-ss i know it costs money to send for them but ive done it myself and if a stray wont clear then the owner should send for it i go out of my way to feed/water strays and then release them away from my loft so the least owners can do is return my call kev

O.. . i have released loads of birds further up the country, it just makes me angry when so called fanciers don't care about there birds the very least he could have been is polite. felt like taking it to him and asking him to explain himself. if it had still been here/or comes back i will report him.
