Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 UNIKON, had it for 3 years without a problem, great system, easy basketing from the loft, easy marking, easy taking off, with velocities all there at ntaking off clocks, m our club has unicon weve had problems with last years software the one that is suposed to give you a result automaticaly without puting all the details on the computor first it keeps missing out birds with white or wf EG-blue wf -white-check pied etc our club sec tried getting in touch with deister lots of times (the makers) but they didnt return his calls he moaned that the after sales service was c..p he is partialy sighted and now wants to go for a bricon system which for him is more user friendly bigger keys and a better screen for him to read/ work i think the bricon system is by far the most popular on the continent ?

Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 our club went for 8 systems for members that didnt have their own ones the standard system was £520 with 30 rings,clock, 1 pad, base station, mains lead, and base to pad cable i think in the deal we got the system minus the rings for about £460 each (this was 3 years ago)

Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 i find it easier for the y/bs as you dont have the hassle of chaseing them round the lofts it does miss one now and again especially if a batch come together and they climb over each other to get through the traps sorted that by reducing the height of the bobs at the back of the sputnicks to 4" also it stops you missing any when youve to nip to the toilet or such like great for national flying as birds can arrive any time of the day or night i would advise getting a battery and cable for backup incase of any powercuts etc i also get a clock set STB for national races (just in case ) dave

I'm not saying it's not but there uis no concrete proof i.e. an independant report on each system, the reviews are written by people generally who use the system they are writing about and have not used another. I've been trying to read across the sites comments by fanciers. The most telling for me are those that have both main systems in the club, the majority of comments have been that they are =, however when that is not the case most I have read prefer Bricon. Jack you would help me and lots of others by explaining why Unikon is the best, forgetting price. Because price is only relevant when you have decided your order of preference. I would for example have a Ferrari at the top of my list but I'm about £10 short, so I go for a mark 1 cortina. By the way when you say you've done 4 demos is that for each compny or were they all Unikon? I would love for you or anyone to provide an objective report on these systems, now that's when you really would be helping.
retired Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 unless you have used all the ETS on the market how can anyone say which is best ??????????? I dont necessarily think any are the best, i looked around and liked the Bricon as much for the fact i know i would get superb service from the agent closest to me (which has been proven right) Our club looks as though it will get the Awards for all grant for the Unikon which means i may just see if the Unikon is as good as i think my Bricon is.
jack Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 as i keep saying i am going on feed back from people all over the wourld and what i think myself i have being at 4 diferent e.t.s demonstrations and uinkorn came out on top for being the easy one to work with for club and racer hope this helps you all as i am not an expert and e.t.s systems but i have being working with electronics for the past 13 years and no a thing or two about them
