now its the end of o/b season i'm wondering what system to try next year. after a decent 2008 this year has been disapointing with the birds homing rather than racing. i'm interested in 250 mile (mid may) to 430 ( now). i assumed 'natural' ....but seems a few distance people are flying 'widowhood'. thanks :)

what system are you currently flying?

Also before you decide think about what time you have etc and what fits in best with your lifestyle.

natural to pot eggs only....i wouldn't race to youngsters i didn't want

if you fly natural i have found that you need to train heavy or flag to compete on the middle distance ,but if you do and you get a good hen in the right frame of mind you have every chance but you have to hope that it all comes together for the intended race

I've won races with natural but found you have to very carefully pan your races and all your hardwork can not pay off due to circumstances beyond your control such as changing the racepoint or holdovers.

Next year I'm trying roundabout with the old birds as my young birds fly great on this method
