ive used it once never again it knocked by birds back for six, the birds was doing well in the first 5 races then i got told to put some naisline in there nose, the birds didn't get back on track for 2 weeks. its good stuff it clears them out if i do use it again it will be at least 4 weeks befor raceing starts, my advise is NOT to use it in raceing season. ;)

Dont!!! DONT!!! DONT!!!

This was the advice i was given by my vet who had naseline tested .Their was an acid component prevalent that would destroy fine membrane tissue of the nasel tract ..The birds would not recover after prolonged use of this stuff .

I bought it in good faith some 4 years ago when starting up as i thought i needed all this garbage ...but being me did not take it at face value I had it tested .Cost me £70.00 to get tested .

The source i got it from is well out of business for crookery and good enough too...

On your head be it.Good luck

Nasaline is supposed to be a simple solution of salt and water that is harmless to birds, the problem is that some prat in their infinite wisdom decided to add a decongestant called oxymetazoline hydrochloride (or worse) to the mix with the idea that it would close the bloodvessels of the mucus membrane thus opening up the airways and helping the bird breath more easy, a little like any nasal spray we use as humans.  This burns like sh** if you have a sensitive membrane or other reaction to it and because pigeons membrane is far more senstive than ours you can imagine what it does to them.  STAY WELL AWAY unless its untampered saline.
