Guest Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 because just want to get to know the diffent types of racing is it hard to race on the widow hood? No harder than any other system, you get out of it what you put in. We put in a lot of time and effort with ours and it seems to pay of for us winning a few clubs and getting some good fed positions as well. Do some homework on all systems James, then whatever one suits your lifestyle go for, if you fail at the one you can try others, you won't be the first one to do that. Good luck mate.

Guest Owen Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 I race Widowhood and, to be honest, I would'nt know how to race any other way. My hens are only raced as youngsters and they are selected from their young bird results. I have 12 cocks which is enough. There is accomadation for 16 but the 12 are all I need. It has taken me years to learn how to do it but I find it easy and very satisfying these days. At the moment the cocks are living in an aviary. And just looking at them gives me great pleasure. They look the picture of health and are always on the go.

Guest bakes Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 ets is an electric system every bird racing on ets has an chip ring you register the chip to you/when the bird arrive from race instead of catching bird and taking rubber from birds leg to put on thimble to stamp theres non of that with ets you put an ets plate in your sputnik when the bird arrives and goes into your sputnik and goes through the bob wire it reads the information you then simple take the ets pocket clock up to your club same as you would do if you was racing on rubbers and they work out vel ypm and so on basically easy way to register the arrival of your birds.you wont go far wrong with the old t3 t3 junior clocks all the best bakes.
