Cheers guys, hope they do produce the goods. Bakes, Rob09 and Babybird for having the time to reply I will breed you a pair of young birds each out of the birds I have purchased free of charge if you're interested. You can them test them yourself then and see if they do any good for you. Drop me a Pm if you are interested.

could i ask how much they set you back? Do you believe that buying from OLR is th way to go as many fanciers will only send their best birds?

Thanks

I doubt very much all will breed me future champions, but good birds that have the best possible chance I do.  I strongly believe that no one pays £200 entry fee and sends their worst 3 birds in the loft. Some of the best fanciers in the county send to the race and to pay that much to enter they would only be off their very best! Would any of you pay £200 and send rubbish? I certainly wouldnt! I purchased 4 from last years auction and entered myself with youngsters bred from them, and all 3 got to the final race, although only 1 made it home in race time, but for my first attempt was well pleased. This year I have spent far more and birds that were in the top 100 3 or 4 times out of the 6 races were the ones I set out to buy.  I had a list of 14 and managed to buy 12! Next years target is to send 6 birds and to obtain a top 100 finish and the following year a top 30 spot. Then hopefully in 3 years time I will be in a position to breed the Europa Classic winner! Fingers crossed  ;)
