chris vasey Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 when did you get the shooting range target on yer avatar mick ;D ;D ;D ;D sorry to hear about the peregrines wattle , we have had this for 25 years or more . was going through the birds at the weekend and i have 27 missing from the loft over the winter months so far, :o why would you let them out in the winter when the hawks are lookin for food, you must be stupid, and dont care to much for your birds birds they should be rested when moulting starve the hawks and then there wont be so many about
pigeonscout Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 seems a good idea Anto but the problem is when you let them out after being looked up so long you loose far more than that when there not fit m8 I have always locked my birds up after the last race until 4 weeks before the first race (two weeks flying round the loft then two weeks basket training) and I have never had any problems with losses or winning the first races. I do not see the point in letting them out to feed the bop at this time of year.
