So you've bought in new stock and one dies. You open him up and find he looks just like the pigeon in the Colin Walker book, full of kanker. What would you do??????????????/

i would approach the seller and state that you are unhappy about the condition of the bird and that you require either your money back or..an exact replacement.

photograph the bird dead and the ring , and ask for either a refund or a suitable replacement guess you cant treat it now ;)
