chickadee Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Does anyone use it?..........................I am told it can offer a good 'sexual boost' pre- pairng???? sensible answers only please and no.....................it dosn't taste very nice :X :X :X Well we heard that as well so I went along to the health shop and bought a bottle for ours and when I was buying it I said to the shopkeeper what it was for and she said that there was another guy came into the shop and bought it faithfully every year for his pigeons, so it must be right enough, we are going to try it in the new year. Maybe we should give them some now cause it could even be good for them when they are going through the moult.
chickadee Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 If you look in the health thread under FERTILITY you might see something on wheatgerm oil in there on page 5. actually doesn't say a lot about it just says it's commonly used for fertillity.
Back garden fancier Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Used it in the past, made no difference so don't bother now.
chickadee Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Used it in the past, made no difference so don't bother now. Oh well at least we know now. To be honest I don't think many people use it as we don't seem to hear a lot about it, and if it was really good you'd think people would be raving about it.
MsPigeon Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 I use it! Have used it for a year now and found it greatly improved the feather quality. The birds are soft and sleek. I also switched from putting powders such as probiotics in the water to mixing it in the oiled feed. It sticks and is imediately ingested so I don't feel like I'm throwing some away when I give them fresh water. Just my thoughts Carol/MsPigeon
