OLDYELLOW Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 I use a standard moulting mix with 33% barley added also 2 times a week I put oils on the corn and add cayeene pepper. I was told about this 3 years ago and took no notice I wish I had listened, you can buy this from any supermarket in the spice/herb aisle. Put a teaspoon to 2 kilos of feed and watch your birds next day. I read in the Racing Pigeon Pictorial last year about a fancier who gave it is sprint team he swore by it, if you google it look at the many benefits it has, you wont be disapointed. ;) Read about Cayeene pepper here : http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/cayenne.htm
billy wilson Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 you must have to make a paste to get it on the corn why not mix it in your water
Lennut Tar Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 you must have to make a paste to get it on the corn why not mix it in your water No !!!!!!!, The reason one mixes it on the feed with some oil etc, is because you want the birds to get the full effect of it in there mouth & not in there stomach/crop, where the benefits are not quite the same or as good, just like it is recommended for human use. Now !!!!!!!! for those game enough etc ;D ;D ;D take a small spoonful :'( :'( :'( as a treat ;) & then hang on the best you can. Enjoy.
