Creaked neck

sorry this is my first time putting in a bit of writing instead of browsing but i have just been in my loft a one of my birds had a creaked neck and it was so bad i just had to put it down could not even stand up anybody any idea as to what it is and will it effect the others please help as i have never seen this before thanks blubar
