madmaxlofts Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 could be respertory if it is youll need to treat them or iff you was me i know were they would go if i wasnt happy with them 3-2-1 dusty but what ever you do i would keep them seperate from the other birds till youve got it sorted go to the vets theres no point treating blind you could be there all year wasting more money
Guest chrisss Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 Check it,s eyes to see if there are any small bubbles on the bottom lid :-/ one eyed cold?
FLAPPER 123 Posted April 4, 2008 Author Report Posted April 4, 2008 hi,no bubbles at bottom of eye, dont think its one eyed cold because as the name implise it would effect one of the eyes ...continually closing the eye, which she isnt.
Merlin Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 Flapper 123 if you wish to check for early respo sympthoms, check the colour of third eyelid, while holding bird move your.thumb slowly towards eyeball, till its automatic reaction is to flick eye lid to protect,if eye lid shows as milky colour you have an oncoming respo problem, this is the first area respo probs are visible.
Guest IB Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Bit late with reply, but look for it copping a feed off its nest mate, or off another youngster. Usually more likely to be that than illness.
billy wilson Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 HI MATE I AGREE WITH IB AS WE HAVE 2 YOUNGSTERS LIKE THAT AND WHAT IT IS THEY ARE GETTING FED FROM OTHER YOUNGSTERS OR IN YOUR CASE ONE YOUNGSTER.WHAT HAPPENS IS SOME YOUNG BIRDS ARE ON THE LAZZIE SIDE AND AS LONG AS OTHER YOUNGSTERS ARE FEEDING THEM THEY WILL KEEP ON DOING IT.DONT WORRY ABOUT IT .
