beaky Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 eve.your birds seem to have a very severe respiratory problem..if left ..over time will clear up..if not give them furol for 5 days ..all the best.
Guest shadow Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 olbas oil on the wattles will clear it up but make sure your loft has plenty ventilation low down at the front and at eave level at the rear
steve. Posted August 13, 2008 Author Report Posted August 13, 2008 can any 1 tell me where i would get nazaline ??
Guest j.bamling Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 all these natural products are all well and good, but and i say but if they have a respiratory infection these natural products such as TCP or VIC will do nothing, you will need an antibiotic !!!!!!! but there are certain types for certain jobs make sure you get the right one for the right infection or use something broad spectrum !!! Best of Luck !!!
Guest slugmonkey Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 Doxy + ( doxycyclene, tylan, and suvinol ) or Terramycin ( oxytetracyclene HCI ) the Terramycin is the weaker of the 2 but I use both on occasion at least 7 days lock birds down and dont give any other source of water and dont train while on it I use 5mg per liter ( or quart here I know they are diffrent but close to the same ) I will sometmes use both and a LITTLE extra wont hurt I run 4 days of doxy then 3 days of terra then 2 more doxy at 1.5 this dosage

Best of Luck !!! bang on right just add a little to the post the cause of it has to found too most likely u have to many birds in the loft or ventilation not working right and that a hard one to get right go with the antibiotic all the best

Best of Luck !!! i agree see a vet probably will get some baytrill 10% , or whatevers hot for respirity these days , a well ventilated loft and plenty of air flow will keep the respirity at bay , i'd be looking at the ventilation , its no good treating and treating when a few modifications will be the biggest prevention
just ask me Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 o yes if giving antibiotics take away any source of calcium ie grit
Guest j.bamling Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 you want as much ventilation as possible but no drafts at all as this can cause as many problems !!! and the hardest job of all is the same in every loft dont keep too many birds LOL
just ask me Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 i agree see a vet probably will get some baytrill 10% , or whatevers hot for respirity these days , a well ventilated loft and plenty of air flow will keep the respirity at bay , i'd be looking at the ventilation , its no good treating and treating when a few modifications will be the biggest prevention probally no need to go as strong as baytril will do the job ok but there's other weeker antibiotics on the market will do the job
OLDYELLOW Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 i would also suggest less birds per loft the less respirity but roland would disagree ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
