Guest Denny Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Noticed today that one of my birds is limping, so picked it up and noticed that its knee was hot to the touch and quite swollen. I have checked for signs of damage but cannot see any, the leg looks ok apart from the swelling. It does not have a ring on the affected leg. What could have caused its knee to swell and how do I remedy it?

Guest Owen Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 The only time I have seen that, was when a bird caught it's ETS ring on the floor mesh in the aviary. It pulled and struggled to get it out. Next day it had a swollen joint that was hot to the touch. It took about a week to get over it.
