frank-123 Posted July 31, 2008 Author Report Posted July 31, 2008 oh thought that would be the last thing to do pull a flight thought that would be sore thanks for your answer paul forgot to say its on the darkness system
Guest Freebird Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 Only you can decide. Do you want to keep him or perhaps risk losing him. Would you run a race with a disability?
Guest bigda Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 send him to the race its not a long race its experience for him i have had birds with tails out and still flew well there is no point letting him sit at home when there is short races you can do that after say 100 mile you know you will not win with him, but all in the experience for next year will help :)
pjc Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Bart, I asume being on Dark its and old flight as he won't have moulted that far yet. If the bent flight is still attached try steaming back straight or if it is broken off then try glueing it but as it hasn't moulted it it won't be sore and will be ok to keep going, train or race. Phil
OLDYELLOW Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 yup if repair not possible and has full flytes either side race if below 180 mile it will be slightly behind but young birds need schooling
