Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 hi do u think y/bs going light should be killed or are they worth curing? if so what a good cure? hi i have had a few that have had this despite several treatments with going light tablets they never seemed to pick up so eventually went to pigeon heaven i have one now that im hoping picks up. I will always try my best to save them but as im a novice maybe this is wrong but there are more clued up people on here that will give better advice.
Tony C Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 In my experience they're not worth saving. I would put it out of its misery and have a vet find the cause of it going light.
OLDYELLOW Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 hi, these birds that are going light whats there droppings like ?
Guest strapper Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 there are a big number of reasons ur birds can go light so a vet is best and dont leave it too late...ur save urself on money and birds if detected early.
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 with mine it always starts with sour crop so i treat that but they still loose weight until they are very thin even after treating with going light tabs. The one i have now broke it leg which has now healed but has gotten very thin
