dwh Posted December 28, 2009 Author Report Posted December 28, 2009 is she going light or has she gone off her legs which could be a calcium deficiency[/quoteno she's bright enough just lost a bit of weight
pjc Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 they will lose some weight if they are being driven hard by the cocks, often the hen won't even be allowed to feed proporly, just watch her for a couple of days and when they start sitting and she can feed in peace you'll prob find she puts the weight back on.
Guest strapper Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 it could be many things, including egg broken inside(which is rare). have the droppings changed? have she lost her power in her legs? has she been flapping her wings fallen forward? is she eating ok? and of course drinking?...if so is she drinking excessively? look for all regular signs .
Guest mick bowler Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Lock her in her box with minerals, water and a pot with peanuts sunflower hearts and canary seed in, that will give her an energy boost and anything she lacking.
