mycoplasmosis,,  respiritary infection, doxycyline best to cure it .

 

good ventilation and dont over crowd , with a dry loft ;) ;)

its usualy a vitamin deficency along with a draught  ;) dont have draughts and ensure you suply vitamins , one eye cold can sometimes get confused with Hexamitiasis  ;)

Check the ventilation in your loft. You need a current of fresh air rising up through the loft all the time. And you should not be able to smell pigeons.  And follows stb's advice, he is spot on. And you should know that these respiratory diseases can affect humans.

I also have one pigeon with watery eyesin my stock loft what can i treat him on his own, i dont want to treat all the loft as there are stock feeding young in there, he is not feeding at the moment (he is still sitting ) sorry to have maybe highjacked the thread but thouight it better to ask on here as apposed to starting a new thread

if its one eye cold its usually just one eye, does your bird have both eyes watery, have you got new untreated (paint etc)  wood in your loft, sometimes this can cause problems with eyes and  and nostrols watering, new wood and some shavings you must watch, a good coat of masonary paint is good.

the advice i was giving was excellent i opened up the bottom of my shed so there was plenty of air coming in and out just over week ago.birds seem to have stopped rubbing there eyes allready only one bird got small stain on wing butt now .excellent. :) :) :)

Hi Fifer yes both eyes are watery. there is no new paintwork in the loft or anything new at all

check the clef  for signs of   linseed  stuck in the  clef  as  that can  make the bird   scratch  its beak and its eye  :o
