DOES THE TYPE OF CORN YOU HAVE YOU PIGEONS ON EFFECT THE FLYING I HAVE MY YBS ON BREED AND WEAN THE ARE ALL FLYING VIA A FEW THEY WILL FLY FOR AROUND 30 MINS ON THIS CORN WILL THEY FLY LONGER WITH A DIFFERANT CORN.

Some add barley or depurative to the feed (approx) 50% to get them to fly more - For me 30mins at this time of the year is ok.

You dont want them ranging too much yet.  The barley/depurative may reduce their weight hence the longer flight...

Does anyone else have any tips?

We feed our youngsters bucktons V.I.P mixture , its sound corn we mix in with it G10 Pellets from Gem supplements up till when they are training , we then progress to a racing mixture.

My young birds are on a mix of mostly Tic beans with 25% Liege - and as Mike says they will fly all afternoon.

My theory is that if they do range and get themselves lost, they will have the "substance" to get themselves back.

Just my way.

Good luck Westy.
