OLDYELLOW Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 would agree with u there. i feed mostly barley!! i think many fanciers think theres something wrong with there birds because there droppings arent right , this is off season and they can experiment with feeding a little , for example feeding straights instead of mixes then they'll learn what grains do to a birds constitution , i have found that any one grain can have an adverse effect on the birds , from constitution of droppings to size of droppings , feed determines what you get in dropping structure without the knowledge of grains and pulse how would they determine there dropping are right

Guest tom123 Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 I thought Swainsons were advertising between £7 and £8 a bag delivered on quantities of 40 bags. our club got together and took delivery of 3 pallets of corn from swaintons at 7.00 to 8.00 pr 20 kg bag cheapest around these parts is £9.50 for a standard mix so, cant fault it !
celtic Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 I got two 25kg bags of natural four seasons mix yesterday for just under £20 which i thought was reasonable

Guest strapper Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 how do you find your local farms selling corn? ive been going to the same farm for a number of years, i heard of it through the grapevine...your best bet is to ask local farmers they may know who grows corn .
