pigeonman007 Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 Hi all Are there any Kent or Sussex fanciers on here who know where I would be able to get tic beans. I have done various farm and granary searches on Google but not getting very far. I can get them from my local corn merchants but not straight, they offer Countrywide number 2 I think, which is a mix of beans, maples & tares and is pushing on £13 for 20kg Cheers
OLDYELLOW Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 never seen a tic bean in versa laga corns for years , i wouldnt use them :-/

Dodgy Trapper Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 I read years ago that Athletes were injecting themselves with something (cannot remember the name) , so that they can train harder and longer without weakening their immune system This was banned because of unfair advantage, now the tic bean has this naturally in small amounts and is one of the reasons distance flyers fed them. Hopefully someone will know more on this subject. One thing I will say about pigeon racing especially for novice's is that there are many roads that lead to Rome, meaning if one fancier does things one way, someone down the road will be doing the opposite just as well as that fancier.
wilkins Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 plenty of top fanciers have a hopper of beans and feed carbohydrate on top of this, on a hopper they wont over eat mine have a hopper and i feed them gerry plus by hand soon as i rattle my tin they dive into the lofts is essex to far for you as kinsdown in essex sell straights
