PigeonTracker Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Well I have given pigeon tracker a try, pigeon picked up from me today in northants and delivered today in County durham, seems impressive, however I paid £25 which is the rate clearly stated on this website and their website. When the pigeon was delivered, the driver asked the guy for a fiver!! And he paid it. :-/ wots that about then?? And I could only pay cash....fair enough, but it would be nice to know in advance, brillant delivery, but wot about the extra charge? Think i might give amdeliveries ago!lol Hello Adam, having just phoned you I've just made it absolutely clear that I happened to be the delivery driver in question, and at no time did I ask or recieve £5 from Mr. Wilson, the other person you comment ade the untrue claim in your post. You paid £25 for a 600 mile round trip delivery when the normal price would be £30 because you came as a referral from Chrismaidment, and unless we have a large number of drops (about 15) where we can then try and pass on savings to the customer the fee for a long trip like that at £30 which in all honesty is not unreasonable if the service is of a high standard. I've tried to contact Mr. Wilson but he's not available, I'd be grateful if you'd amend the post accordingly to portray the accuracy of our delivery. I'll keep any others interested when I get to the botton of why you would be told a blantant untruth, a bit naughty in anyone's eyes. Thanks, Jamie. p.s;

Right then.......i feel abit embarassed about the above statement with regards to the fiver as I am wrong! I am so sorry that I have been mislead or 'got the wrong end of the stick' Just had Pigeon Tracker ring me to say that they did not ask for a fiver. Many apologies to Pigeon Tracker. I need a pigeon courier like every other fancier, so from now on I will make sure I am 100% correct about the facts! (I usually do)

(I usually do) Thanks Adam, perhaps if claims like this are made in future people should consider taking it up with the couriers first to establish the facts before posting on open forums. I have tried to contact the other person as I don't think its a nice thing to lie about any company that is working to help the fancier, it makes you wonder what the motive was regarding this??? That said, the good members here can make their own minds up on that based on their own experiences of our services as to why someone would want to try and discredit us. Thanks for your post clearing the matter up. Jamie
korhil Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 i dealt with pigeon tracker this week, cannot recommend them highly enough, thanks jamie and your team,
Mighty Flyer Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Right then.......i feel abit embarassed about the above statement with regards to the fiver as I am wrong! (I usually do) Reading through the past couple of posts, I think I as many others could agree that some people seem to be making false claims in order to promote their own, or their local Courier to ensure they succeed!! For one I believe it is important that everything is clear before posting such comments as false allegations are definatly not fair to anyone involved! I myself have been using Pigeon Tracker to transport Pigeons. With an excellent quick service, including polite and cheerful drivers, I have no other alternative than to highly recommend them to any fancier who wish to trasport their Pigeons safely and with Couriers who know what comes first. In this case the customer and the Pigeon. I always have a one to one relationship with the driver at ll times when my Pigeon is in their hands. Could not ask for anything more!
DOVEScot Posted September 13, 2008 Author Report Posted September 13, 2008 Thanks Adam, perhaps if claims like this are made in future people should consider taking it up with the couriers first to establish the facts before posting on open forums. Jamie That is the best thing about a forum the truth will come out if you let it, not every courier gets back to customers and some couriers stretch the truth as well, so as members we should be able to question it on the site and hopefully arrive at the truth :-/ :-/ :-/
DOVEScot Posted September 21, 2008 Author Report Posted September 21, 2008 You said it, I thought it. Any company that risks mixing livestock with hardware are running a huge risk, I would not want to be that one customer who just happens to be the first one to get a crushed bird back as has happened many times with Amtrak. Price should be irrelevant to the real fancier who cares for his birds, but this is the real world and price does have some importance, so dedicated couriers with good prices will always be the winner in my books. Most wouldn't have sat in the back of a van or truck with it stinking of turps or some other pungent if not toxic smell, most of us wouldn't have sat in the back of a van for 300 miles or more being bashed about by heavy boxes and so on, I'm betting that if you did then you'd not bat an eyelid at paying an extra couple of pound to ensure your birds never suffered the same, they have the same senses, if not more than us humans. Off the soapbox, as said, pricewars aren't for us, we're only interested in providing a great service and will do our best to do so. Jamie Everybody is entitled to opinions :-/
