Delboy its like anything else in life, when its good its good, and when its bad its very bad. The service i recieved along with Jimmy was second to none, and would use them again. Its unfortunate that your not getting the same service, you need to contact them and see what the problem was, it may be legitimate???? Its also unfortunate that our lifestyle demands perfection with no room for error (not a dig just an opinion). Gone are the days where we accepted lee-ways, its life as we now know it . Hope it all works out for you m8, all the best alex.

That's all we were saying about Amtrak, there is no company that run at 100% given the external factors re machine, road, human etc. Personally I still think it is down to networking for any national business to survive, arriving at 3.15 am with a delivery will soon burn the drivers out and if it is a one man operation it will be the business that will burn out :-/

I wish you all the best Jamie

I agree with you that nowadays we do demand perfection and this is a failing on society at present but, here is my gripe.Phoned Pigeon Tracker last week ( 10 days ago ) arranging, at their convenience a collection. Jamie phoned me on Saturday saying he was coming to Scotland this week and it wouldnt be a problem collecting a yb and delivering to Gloucester. Pigeon Tracker phoned again on Monday saying my yb would be uplifted on Wednesday morning.I was quite impressed with Pigeon Tracker at this time. YB put in box and left with daughter but no Pigeon Tracker came, so we phoned and they said it would be evening. That evening, once again, no Pigeon Tracker came, so we phoned and they said it would be Thursday morning ( early ) Yb put in box about 6am but, youve guessed it, no Pigeon Tracker came, so we phoned and were told that they would come Thursday evening. NO   PIGEON TRACKER CAME and then they phoned at 11.45pm to say that the van was at Edinburgh and was I prepared to wait up for it. Of course ,I said yes and I went to the loft and got the poor wee yb that has been in and out of a box one million times and taped up the box again. The phone went again at 12.35 am and they said that they werent coming and that they would be there by 8am the following morning. Time , just now 10.01. YOU  GUESSED IT, NO  PIGEON TRACKER

......I don't understand why you all have to come onto a forum to put down fanciers who are tryin the damn hardest to please everyone!!

It's difficult to accomodate everyone...especially people who want everything done yesterday!! Moaning about getting phone calls to say where the driver/pigeons are is not a bad thing...Im sure we all know  how bad traffic is nowadays, and it goes without saying, how difficult non-fanciers can be when it comes to Pigeons, they also want everything done yesterday.

Im sticking to my guns on this one, and siding by Pigeon Tracker, they have given me a superb service, always in contact and Pigeon always arrives in a fit healthy condition....and isn't that what counts???

We're all going to hit bumps in the road with Courier sevices, we just need to be understanding...rather than eratic and everything will be OK ;)

What you talking about , all we are trying to do on this forum is get the very best for our pigeons and I appreciate that you cant please everybody but dont say you are going to do something and then not do it. If you notice with my previous post, I asked Pigeon Tracker to collect my yb at their convenience.I didnt put any pressure on them, so they told me the time the bird would be collected, and they have still failed me, badly. Lets not kid ourselves here, this is just not acceptable. Why dont Pigeon Tracker tie up with SPDS and meet , say at Gretna and swap deliveries. This would take the pressure off them, not needing to work in Scotland, but still getting the custom.Basic business sense for me

That's your choice Pigeon82, I sure know I havent got time to travel that far.....

So long as the Courier is passionate about Pigeons and not a Courier scheming to succeed from Amtrak's demise we'l be fine!! :)

I thought long and hard about who to choose, no offense, but with J Cooper the Pigeons are carried with paint/paper/ladders and any other item that would be under the catagory for 'Logistics'., i surely wouldnt like to travel all that way with th stence of Turpentine or get crushed by the heavy objects, we all know how furious lorry drivers are on the roads!.....AM  Deliveries 'FORGET' your Pigeons :( Not left with many more. Pigeon Tracker may be late now and again, but the communication is there, the Pigeons are fed/watered and they arrive in good nick!! :) Personally, I think that's a SH*T HOT service :):)

the rpra need to get involved ive said before they should start a service with nation wide holding centres run by fanciers drivers must be fanciers full time there are fanciers out there who would love a job like that meeting other fanciers every day you have approx 32.000 rpra members @ £10 a head that sould get it started still pay £25 del or collect and see how it goes if it goes tits up at least you gave it ago instead of whineing about others has no body at the rpra got the brains to look at it
