OLDYELLOW Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 does flying courier have a first name and a surname or is that a secret ? if i was doing buisness id want to know exactly the peson to whom im dealing with , i have birds going to Ireland and wales next year so it could make things easier getting them in to Ireland.
Flyin Couriers Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 Hi My full name is Debbie Walkler. I am from Scotland originally near the Glasgow area but now i live in North Wales. Thanx for your interest please if you need to know any other information contact us anytime. Regards Flyin Couriers.
OLDYELLOW Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 I wish you well in your new venture Debbie do you have any previous experience with couriering ?
Flyin Couriers Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 I dont myself as i have experience in office work which is what i will be doing. My drivers do have experience 1 driver has been a delivery driver for nearly 10 years. We currently have 4 drivers also wanting to start with us and 1 of them are very good freinds with us and he has been a artic driver for nearly 30 years. Every driver we will have driving for ourselves will have some experience in delivering i know 1 of the drivers only has 1 years experience but he really enjoys doing this and he is very polite and freindly. Regards Flyin Couriers.
Guest Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Ill be honest with you mate we have thought about this and we would only be able to send a van over once every 2 weeks at the moment if we can get enough work over in Ireland to come back and vice versa. Obviously there is busy and not so busy times with the pigeon business so if we could get enough work going to Ireland and enough work coming back then we could think of having a van sent over once every week. Do you have any ideas yourself mate ? Regards Flyin Couriers. Point of note for you, if you are taking pigeons too and from between Ireland and UK strictly speaking you should have an imorters licence otherwise if you get stopped they can destroy the birds if no paperwork where they came from etc.
Flyin Couriers Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 Ok thanx Mick thats great we will look into it straight away . Regards Flyin Couriers.
OLDYELLOW Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 is that the same for southern and northern Ireland Mick ?

PigeonTracker Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 competion Jamie and a little cheaper soon they'll be mergers lol; Cheaper doens't mean better OldYellow but in all fairness after speaking to the people responsible I like their principles so never rule out anything I say.
OLDYELLOW Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 birds must come first there handling and health is paramount , second is service , thridly is communication , forth is knowing your strenths and weaknesses , competion is the key to suppling a fairly priced market as no one company are calling the shots and are not incontrol of the whole market , this has to be good for the customer with having all this choice as they have never had before :)
Flyin Couriers Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 I agree with you old yellow and this is what Jamie at Pigeon Tracker has said to us over the phone they have alot of pigeon fanciers onboard who obviously know what they are doing and know what is best for the birds. As we have said we do have a pigeon fancier onboard ourselves and we are hoping to treat your birds as you would expect them to be treated in your own possesion. As courier company's we can only do our best for you as the customer and im sure this will be done as well as we can do it. Regards Flyin Couriers.
jimmy_bulger Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 i think its a good thing that we now have 2 couriers who are prepared to come on this forum to take the time to discuss and take on board the views of the fanciers in order to provide a better service for us all in the long term .
PigeonTracker Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 i think its a good thing that we now have 2 couriers who are prepared to come on this forum to take the time to discuss and take on board the views of the fanciers in order to provide a better service for us all in the long term . I agree Jimmy and as I said from Day 1 its all about creating a network of likeminded people who have the resource and knowledge on how to put in place a structure that goes to benefit the fancier and breeders alike. Anyone who thinks they now it all and think they are above coming to forums like this are living in a world of their own.
Guest Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 is that the same for southern and northern Ireland Mick ? Yes, if you dont have importers licence you need to inform the powers that be of impending importation and get a health cert signed by a vet, and possibly injected for PMV too.
Flyin Couriers Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 Thanx Jimmy we will always be around somewhere as i explained last nite we cannot be on 2 sites at the same time as we are logged onto a site called pigeon chat too. If for any reason you cannot contact anyone of us over the internet please feel free to phone us anytime and we will do our best to answer all calls from our customers. Regards Flyin Couriers.
