OLDYELLOW Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 had a crow frighten my ybs up the other day as well frightened me as well was in bits with feathers missing from everywhere looked like it was a badly injured pigeon when it was going over me head
Guest IB Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I had what I can only call a rogue crow that attacked my old birds every time they landed on the loft after exercise. It hid somewhere out of sight waiting for them to land. Couldn't get my YBs out for a couple of weeks, they'd have been scattered to the four winds.. Had more than a few pot shots at it, not sure I hit it, but it has disappeared, and things are back near normal now, the OBs still took flight whenever any crow came over, but now they act as before, they 'just' watch everything with wings thats flying toward the garden. Had previously thought crows a 'help' because they mobbed & harried hawks right across the sky here, don't know why this one acted like it did, a bit mental?
ozbrit Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I think they can be a bit territorial when nesting and pairing up as I've got alot near me and only ever have any trouble this time of year with the odd one

Yes they are protected, most wild birds are even though they are classed as vermin
