Had 2 channel races this year already missing on 3rd. Hope all goes well with your mum. Hope some more birds return for you. Also Damian hope you get some back. I've lost 5 off loft all telphone rings not one call. Mystery are ybs. Some had been flying 2 plus hours previously. Saw them follow stray last seen. Wish could buy as yearlings

Wish could buy as yearlings i had the same thing with mine they were flying around like a dream, the local club "champ" lives very close to me, my birds were flying far better than his around the area,he even turned up one day to take a look [and spent most of the time looking at the water containers to see what was in them, and asking about my feeding nice or what?]the fuuny thing is the next day he took his birds to the same point and lost 20 out of 37,as pigeon fanciers we must all be mad as we all come back for more!!!!

Were they lost from the loft or training toss, what an amount to lose at once, feel sad for you Damian
Guest Vic Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 If Vic, with all of his experience, can lose two thirds of his (fancied) yb team. I am sure it can happen to anyone. These days, for some unknown reason, there are not as many work their way back as yesteryear. Chickens and chips, Yes! Pigeons with chips? NO! lol.
