Have non of the stock birds showed up at the original loft yet or were they never let out there? I'm quite sure the racing guy's on here will be more than happy to help you out. Keeping our fingers crossed for you.

ChrisMaidment08 Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Hi Chris, sounds like a cross with an archangel. The Archangel or Gimpel as it is also known as is a small bird about the size of a roller or smaller. The original colour / pattern is bronze (Gimpel Bronze) body with black wings. The whole body is also covered with a copper sheen like the sheen on a racers neck and the wings have a green sheen over the black. It also has a crest on top of head. The more sheen the better the bird. It is also on of the oldest breeds known. A nice wee bird.(wiseman) sorry to but in again this looks lie it but more brown than black with bigger hood on head
ChrisMaidment08 Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 racer perservire some will turn up

Guest racer Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 roof eaves open all round plenty of air
PIGEON_MAN Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 roof eaves open all round plenty of air Maybe plenty of air at roof level but the fresh air needs to come in at the bottom and take the stale air out at the top.
Guest peter.j Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 no disrespect intended to anybody here but the man has came on and posted that his birds have done one ,not for the loft inspectors to critisise his lofts ,i know its all done with the best of intentions but im sure its the last thing he needs to hear right now....yis peter
invalidusername Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 What a blow :-( I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you.
