Guest Blue Pied Cock Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Hi all, I am thinking about taking the first round of eggs away from the stock pigeons to float under the racers, my question is how long is it possible to still eggs under optimum conditions. I know you are suppose to turn the eggs each day but what would be the ideal temprature to store them? I have heard of fanciers who keep them anything upto 3 weeks, surely this can't be posssible.
Guest shippy Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 it is possible just keep them in a cupboard in the house when i had finches used to take egg away every day for 5 days then put them back i never turned them but they still hatched no bother hope this helps
Ulsterman Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 would you not keep them in the fridge.
soapy Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 i keep my eggs in an egg box next to the kettle and turn em every time i have a cup of tea, works for me , they dont have to be in the fridge.i might add i only do it with a couple of pairs of eggs as i dont have a lot of birds.
Guest Blue Pied Cock Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 What is the longest amount of time you can still them?
