I had this email re a found bird which will be of interest:

I apologise for writing to you, but I had a look on your website and wonder if you could help.

I work for a property developer and whilst visiting one of our sites in Weston-super-Mare yesterday I noticed the carcass of a pigeon. It had three different rings on its legs, one green (blank), one red (blank) and one blue which had the following written on it – SU06 NW 3260. From what I’ve seen on the internet I think this means it’s from Scotland but I’m not sure and haven’t been able to find out much more information.

I know that this isn’t much use to anyone as the pigeon has unfortunately died but I thought the owner would at least like to know it has been found.

I wonder if you would be able to give me some advice as to how to find the owner?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
