found bird GB09 TO7654

hi i've found a pigeon with GB09 TO7654 on it leg and i think a racing tag. i don't know much about this stuff.

but its very tired, i'm at work but i will take it home tonight.

unfortunately the bird died last night.

 

i'm not equiped to deal with ill pigeons and did all i could. tried to give it suger water and rice and kept it away from dogs and cats thats about all i could do from what i've leant on the internet.

 

i'm not a pigeon racer, but do care about animals of any kind, so did find this a bit distressing.

 

As a suggestion i think it might be a good idea to put the owners phone number on the bird too, as the sec would not pick up the phone and i could have just rung him up and he could just come pick it up.

Welldone for trying to save the bird, you did fine giving it some water and a little food but it must of been internaly injurred.

 

did you manage to open the wings out and see if it was owner stamped at all.

i did notice on one of its wings on one of the feathers a number. it looked like a phone number and tried calling it but the call kept failing making me think it wasn't a phone number. 0117 954 9768.

could only just make it out when it stretched its wing open, so i may have got one of the numbers wrong.
