update on the bird,

 

it was found by a neighbour in hull docks and it looks like it has been the victim of a hawk strike, its left wing is very messed up, much of it is missing and the remainder is bits of feather and bone plus a few maggots that have been removed.

 

on the upside the bird is strong and eating well, and now waiting for a lift home
