Guest Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Ask for the moon............well thought I'd try. I'd like to have some birds in my loft that I know if I send in good condition would come back competitively from 400 /700 mile. Now I know you'll have all seen the thread on eyes and many will say why can't you pick your self some. Simple really I have yet to find a loft that is full of long distance stuff, that does not charge a fortune for the birds and has them available!! I'm not interested in pedigree (but do like anscestry behind a pigeon, if that makes sense!). Has anyone got quality 400/600 miler stuff...........for example they may not race anymore but keep an old family like the Venners, surplus to requirements? I know it is a tall ask but again for example I feel down Bridgwater/ Street / Glastonbury there may still be a lot of good Lerwick flyers on the North road and there may be an old fancier who has good stuff but no longer races? If you can identify anyone I could contact or if there is anyone on this site who can help, please pm me. Thanks Alan
