do the pigeons get used to it though? thanks

I've posted before about a plastic eagle owl on a house roof adjoining the railway at Abbeyhill on east side of Edinburgh. Lots of ferals under railway bridges there and hawk is there to keep them off this guy's house - only it doesn't, I've seen a pigeon sitting on top of it.  :)

Just spoken with my dad he said at one time spinning mirrors where used to catch songbirds ( Now illegal) as the sparkle attracts the birds.

So if you are attracting birds with mirror balls, Would that not be like ringing the dinner gong for the Hawks ???

hawks are not attracted by mirror balls in fact the reverse is true they do not like them

Hawks may not be but other birds are attracted to them songbirds, corvids will actually attack the mirrors , so as I say if the mirrors are attracting songbirds will that not also attract hawks to the area which feed off the songbirds ??
