Guest VINNIE Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 PAULINE WHITEHEAD ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR APPEAL Hi everyone i am thinking of running a sale on behalf of pauline whitehead she is the widow of the late les whitehead whom with the help of the fancy helped raise money for his funeral arrangements in November 2007.les was and Pauline is my brother Kevin's in laws and also the grandparents of our partner and my nephew peter sheedy who also flies in his own right in the bedfont flying club. 7 months after les passed away pauline suffered a severe stroke in april last year keeping her confined to hospital for nine months, she not only lost les to cancer but 2 weeks prior to les’s passing her nephew who was like a brother to her passed away in his sleep, this left Pauline heartbroken knowing she would be losing her dearest husband as well ,losing 2 people so close to her had taken it’s toll on Pauline and she sadly suffered a stroke ,but to make matters worse she had to move from her family home which were full of loving memories because of her health risk, into a bigger house more suited to her, this brings me to the reason for the sale she has been told she can have an electric wheelchair or a car on mobility she really needs both so i have decided to try to run a sale of youngbirds to buy her a wheelchair to help her mobility indoors ,i have been given permission from janette taylor to run this sale on the pigeon chat site , i know i am asking a lot seeing you all have been kind enough in donating to joshua’s godfrey sale and the fanciers fire fund sale ,but if anyone can help i would be very grateful if members could also ask their clubmates if not i fully understand, even if it means doing a latebred sale ,i will see what reponse i get before deciding on a date .all monies raised wil be used to buy a suitable wheelchair for Pauline any money left over will be donated to the macmillian nurses and the stroke association. i would like to thank everyone for taking time to read my letter and also for your kindness shown towards Pauline , i hope the members of pigeonbasics are not affended in anyway by me posting this .
