pjc Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I have a shed/loft 16'x8' you can have but you would need to collect and dissmantle it from Aylesbury.
Guest canfordlofts Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 sorry pjc but your a bit far thanks any way paul i have pm you
Guest spin cycle Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 your signature implies you have a loft. anyhow a 6x4 shed with 2ft sputnik on window and homemade box perches would get you off to a resonable start. room for about 16 ybs. set shed about 9-12 inches off ground perhaps

Guest canfordlofts Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 if i can get hold of a 6/4 ft shed and put and averiy on it would that work
Guest spin cycle Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 if i can get hold of a 6/4 ft shed and put and averiy on it would that work probably...but IMO you need some kind of 'trap' to manage the birds going in/ out. initially the aviary could enclose this trap so the ybs could go in/out, have a good look round etc....then take aviary away. i have a 6x4 with sputnik for my ybs enclosed by an aviary that i take roof off .
blaz Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 the bit on the front it is made of plastic. it is used for letting birds in and out.

Guest SkyMaster Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Rabbit hutches even work for homing pigeons Yup pigeons will home to anything ;D
b.massey Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Think that Keith Mott????(BHW Scribe) flies birds to rabbit hutch style compartments
gd Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 it's not the loftb that counts - we all have different preferances and finances will be better for some than others as long as the birds are happy/healthy and race back to home who cares what the lofts like??
blaz Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 ??) WOW sum loft ;D this is only a quarter of my lofts and it serves its purpose. fact the bird that raced to it on saturday beat yours :K) ??) and i will add it is my worst result this year
