jock3 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 think you should breed out them the first year . or just take them 200 mls only ,will be better the next year
blaz Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 no i would not send late breeds to a distance race.i would treat them as yb,s next year and send them to about 250 260 mile.
Guest numpty01 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 some brokenm birds depending on were from return to previous loft if in that area not always but it does happen

Guest stb Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 i ment this years birds that had never bin out i would never try break older birds speacialy if i dint no them mate Hi m8 dont try to run before you can walk. train out your late breds give them some races next year to about 250mls. prob waste of time with brocken birds, are they not good enough to breed from ??? take your time and dont be impatient, a lot of good birds thrown away in haste, good luck whatever you decide.
blaz Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 i will disagree with broken birds i joined the snfc for eastbourne and got 3 national tickets also scored in club just about evry week also 8th fed newbury and 1st 12th and17th fed eastbourne all birds have been in my loft 6 or 7 months all broken birds. all from the late george logan

He has just said these pigeons have never been out before. Thats a bit like getting 6 old birds from louella breaking them and scoring in the national . dont think that would happen.
LDS JOHNSON Posted July 14, 2009 Author Report Posted July 14, 2009 my brother had a bird 13 1sts n 3 1st feds with 2 different addresses so i no it can be done but is it the same with distance birds ??
LDS JOHNSON Posted July 14, 2009 Author Report Posted July 14, 2009 no youngbirds aint racing yet so doubt they have bin raced

I have had birds that raced well to 3 different houses but have never done anything with brocken birds that have never been out or raced.
LDS JOHNSON Posted July 14, 2009 Author Report Posted July 14, 2009 but is it worth a try getting some late breds wat is there 2 lose even if its just training em up 4 the year after
blaz Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 if birds have not been out as yb,s you can forget racing them.ybs need to fly as ybs to build muscle if you dont they will be no good as race birds.
blaz Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 i have got some late breeds in nest now and will train them in winter .next year i will expect them to race to about 250 mile
