Found racing pigeon (Warrington Cheshire, red leg ring (partial?) V50

03/01/2024 pigeon found, is  alert and well, been wandering around my farm 2-3 days, superficial chest graze, not willing/able to fly, is trying to though I think. Has a metal leg ring and what looks like partial plastic coating with ‘V 50’ stamped on it. Friendly and hungry , I have brought it inside tonight due to possible frost. 
 

if owner isn’t found or can’t collect will keep it safe here, if anyone more knowledgeable would like to have it, please let me know. Seems a shame for it not to have a nice home if unable to race or if owner can’t be found.
