jonj1978 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 i have some mate for sale if you want a look at them on the swop section widow boxes £25 a set of 4 made from chip board. i have 3 sets with widow plastic fronts... second hand of course.. jon barnsley area south yorkshire
rasbull Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I built my own, 1 piece of 8 x 4 chipboard will build you a set of 4! A set will cost you no more than £20 - £25 and thats with the fronts as well. You have to chop the board up correct to get it all out of one board. B&Q even did my cuts! Just a matter of screwing together! Easy and so much cheaper!
Guest joshdonlan Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Do you have a plan for cutting rasbull? As when i used 8 x 4 ply i always need 2 sheets lol
rasbull Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Its defo possible out of 8 x 4 from one sheet, swill send you a PM.

Guest spin cycle Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 can someone tell me the sizes to do widowhood boxes im wanting to make single fronts and abit in front of it so i can lock them out i need 30 boxes in a 12 x 6 shed if you want 30 boxes then you're looking at a 6 column / 5 high combination . a 20 inch wide box which would fit in width wise but height is going to be a problem....the bottom box is going to be virtually on the floor or the top box out of reach. i've 6 rows of 4 of a box that is 23' inch wide but it is VERY tight in a 12 ft section . i would like to cut down on numbers so that i didn't have to use bottom line as the boxes want to be at a nice height for working....particularly if flying W/H....at least thats what i would have thought. JMO (bunny)
marmite Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 30 boxes in a 12 x 6 is to many birds that means if all boxes full 60 birds when paired up i.e overcrowded jmo
