Not a nice thing tails are there for a reason
DOVEScot Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 whats lails? if you mean tails how would you like a part of you that dangles down to be chopped off. Not a nice thing tails are there for a reason A jack russels tail doesnae hang doon ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D If its for a pet then better justkeeping its tail, but if it's for working then better with it aff I think
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Just a thought does it not look odd without a tail as it should have 1?
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Never thought of it that way never saw the point of docking a dogs day unless it was for working purposes and im not even sure then never seen a collie without a tail just my point I have a collie and he has a full tail and his parents were the same and they worked well so I would say keep the tail
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Same here ive had working collies and got one now and i yet to see any with docked tails ever doesnt interfere with them working :) :) ;D ;D :) :)
yearling Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 hi how many collies go to ground then ??? ,
shotgun tim Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 you would say differnt things if you have seen a spanial at a pheasant shoot with all it tail bleedind through going through rough cover, also a terrier down in fox earths turn better with no tail.i dont agree with docking in show/pet homes but sertain breeds are a must when working
blackjack Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 Madam are the dogs from working stock ,smooth or rough coated and are they docked. I work Glen of imaal terriers and Russels and am looking for a new *expletive removed*. You are in the Hungerford area i belive are they near you.
Sally McQueen Posted July 19, 2007 Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 The mum has a rough coat and the dad is smooth, both are pets. No will not be docked.. The puppies are in Beenham about 20 minutes for me, near Thatcham/Newbury. I can try and get a picture of the parents tomorrow if not then def saturday?? Or your more then welcome to go see yourself.
