pjc Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 clearly touting for work! Shame the web site for examples isn't his! Maybe you should post examples of your own work!
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 yes all my work why say that
pjc Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Sorry, if it is your site then i appologise! Ihave seen this site circulated before!
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 no problem yes some photos are for info only all the big sunsets ect are all my work i just want to know is anyone else doing this onto canvas in the pigeon world as i use to keep pigeons a few years ago
pjc Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 I don't think so, pigeon photographs can be expensive as they are. Not all of us charge high prices but I don't think anybody offers a canvas bonded option and I can't realy see the point of having a pigeon photo bonded. I would rather see it painted.
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 if you did see my work you would like it i do very large sizes they start at 12x8 inches and go upto 36plus inches a good size for this would be 20x20.16x16 ect
retired Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 ;DMy brother owns a succesful printing business and they also offer the canvas service the amount of requests for dogs cats and even a rabbit is shocking. I think there could be a market for it with pigeons without any doubt in my mind. As stated on here pigeon photography can be expensive but for a top national or club winner i would not hesitate paying the bird has done its service and paid for me to display it proudly in my living roon. Ps i am not an agent for Art on canvas beleive it or not! lol
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 thank you that all i wanted to know as i might do a advert in the homing word i can do a good service,i can take any photo and print it onto canvas at any size they want

Does that mean you do paintings then ?
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 no it is called giclee printing it is printed onto canvas this is what art gallerys use these days, the printer cost me over £5000 it has nine inks ect thats why canvas cost alot of money
oldguy Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 WOW £5000 for a printer to do giclee printing, My printer cost 1/10 the price also for giclee printing and i actually take the images, although i only print up to A3+ but can be larger if i use one of the many printers advertising on the net..all i need to do then is add my percentage and bingo we have a fantastic massive print with a nice profit for myself what worries me is your website, its a freebi site, dont you have a more professional site demonstrating all your own work if i was to travel the country to various lofts to take a few images of the pigeons, the canvas prints would be priced at well over £250 each ...end of advert...
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 all i want is the photo so i can scan that way it is going to be a very big saving on the cost or if they get it done themselves they can email the image to me yes my printer prints 44 inches wide by any lenght you want 99 % of my work is upto 24 inches wide i will be geting a new website soon just have not got the time to redo one at the time been
pjc Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 you would be better to promote your canvas printing with photographers as they will own the copyright to the pictures! The owner of the pigeon will have a picture but the photgrapher will have the negative or digital image! I keep all my old negatives and digital images incase anybody comes back for another copy! If you do a deal with the photographers and provide them with samples to display they can then promote them!
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 good idea who are the best out there now has anyone got a name or website for them
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 good idea who are the best out there now has anyone got a name or website for them You seem to be a bit lost here for a well organised printer, would have thought you would have checked out every angle about who owns what , I did click on one of the links on your site and it says you have to pay another company for images ?
pjc Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 i am, also there is Peter Bennett, Dave Stone and a few others you'll find in the BHW.
Guest artoncanvas4u Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 if you want to do some work together just let me know and thanks for your message
pjc Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 you have missed the boat to a certain extent as most people won't be having pictures taken at this time of year while the birds are breeding.
