drewler Posted February 4, 2007 Author Report Posted February 4, 2007 ok boys i think we have abit of confusion here let me assure you that the lot 2 hen is not a blue check dont forget that these pictures dont not show the ture colour of these birds you would have to see them in the flesh when i frist got these pigeons i called them chocolates then a fellow member told me they were actually called red schalies i have also had them called silvers and so on but on the pedigrees i have with them from thistledene lofts they are called red schalies so that is want i am advertising them as if you want to call them something else that is totally up to yourselves.

drewler Posted February 4, 2007 Author Report Posted February 4, 2007 this is a red and is not the same colour as the others or i think its a red but i'am sure all you pro's will let me know if i'am wrong
pigeonscout Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 this is a red and is not the same colour as the others or i think its a red but i'am sure all you pro's will let me know if i'am wrong That is a red checker and your are right the pic of my bird is a slatey but can also be called a schalie depending if your in the uk or continent. The best way I can describe a slatey or schalie is a washed out blue checker. How can you have a slatey coloured red?.
pigeonscout Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 this is a red and is not the same colour as the others or i think its a red but i'am sure all you pro's will let me know if i'am wrong whats the ring number of that red ch in the pick you posted

jakjak Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Blimey Drewler! The 2nd one for sale is NOT a schallie! & DEFINITELY not a red Schallie. Ever get the feeling you are banging your head against a brick wall!!!???LOL!!!
pigeonscout Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 The bird in your 2nd pick has definite checker markings and in my book that makes it a checker. The first pic I would call a chocolate, muelamens was famous for them.
jakjak Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Sorry to say that none of them are schalies lots 1 & 3 are Red Schallies, this is a fact!!
