I have a sense of humour more than most but you only end up destorting the information thats being presented!!!!

And as rose has pointed out this always ends up with a negative comment or too!! about price, performance etc. I suggest you spend more time with your birds Tam!!!!

Stuart

and so should you, and think the word you were meaning was distorting

Something close to my own view, Sammy, tho was thinking more on buying & selling houses where you put your own value on the property - what owning that house means to you.

A pigeon's value I think is what you believe the bird will do in lifting your loft performance, racing and / or breeding.

some of the best breeding birds i have were given to me by the late hughie brown, who i am sure most folk up here know, and they will also know his performances , a blue pied cock he gave me has produced the birds that have won our longest inland race from maidstone for me on three ocasions

15/25 /30 quid not much more

aye and look at the breeding you now have for a little outlay

what do you call working mens prices.? i think the more you pay for a bird bigger the disapointment if they dont breed upto expectations. i would sooner swop a few with members on here.  it does not matter if pay £10 to £100 it does not guarantee  you nothing. schyphos sent my daughter 2 birds down superb ybs for which she was most grateful.

At the end of the day its not about buying its about selection and many people have allowed to select pigeons for them which won and or will win in the future. You may all think its about the money and whilst its a positive i enjoy supply top quality pigeons and acourse diverting 1 or 2 into my own loft.

Its good to take pride in everything you do and i take pride in selecting pigeons

As for price well i sold pigeons on this site from 25 pound upwards and i always believe i price very farely!!! But as for the last lot that was sold and remember they were sold so the price couldnt have been far out.

As for purchasing pigeons well i have spent 1000,s of pounds but with a little homework and good selection most have repayed there investments!!!!

my thought on this topic is simple if you can buy a bike with 6 gears for £10 or you can buy a bike with 12 gears for £50 you would buy the one with 12 gears as it sounds a better bike pigeons are the same if you ever sell a pigeon you no in your heart what its worth if it doesnt produce you kill if it doesnt earn its perch you dont house it ,its there for 1 reason and 1 reason only its a athelete if you race pigeons you buy pigeons not ducks you always buy to strengthen your team and your team will never get any better without new blood thats why we all buy and sell i didnt get to the top buy flying free birds i purchased birds from £40 /£250 and i now believe im getting there im now looking for knew blood in staff-van reets and hopefully now im on this site some might come my way for the right price ?who nows
