just had a good look at the pads if they are to be sunk into a floor etc give them about 10 mm clearance as there is a small step underneath which would stop it butting flush with the top so around 312x142 hole

340x170 on the top 302x132 underneath for sinking into a floor etc 35 total height

sounds bad as you say but some have already over extended themselves with y/bs for sales /gifts etc with some people struggling this year with breeding etc they just dont have the birds to give not saying this is the case with your man.

yes very similar here treated before they are paired after the moult ive only had 1 clear egg and 1 dead y/b which was frozen baside the nest ive a good team of nice healthy y/bs the reason i posted this was that a lot are blaming the weather for thier bad hatches etc ive had a good one with quite an open loft and some of the worst weather

just thought it would be interesting to see what your hatch /full eggs etc are and if it has made any differance pre treating for parthipoid

hi alex you need the water to breathe to dissipate the flouride so i leave in a watering can overnght but i suppose of you leave the tops off the bottles it might be ok remember when they drink out of the transporter they are at a lower temp their bodys are hot on return from a race and cold water can be a shock to thier systems a way round this is to bottle it from the watering can about an hour before they are due home and submerge it in the sink in hot water to bring up the temp then just put in your drinkers jmo dave

exactly rab cold water into a hot body not a good idea they say on a hot day drink tea to take your body temp down

i think it was only around 4 years ago that the channel races were 1 in 10 and the inland races were 1 in 15 then it ws decided to make all national races 1 in 10 (snfc) i think that on the continent they award prizes to the first 10% national and club races
