Here are the rules in case some of you have not read them Kingslea 1 Loft Race 2009 Intended Rules Adjustments may be made before the inception of the race. Only birds bred at the loft will be used for this race. No birds from outside lofts will be entered to reduce medical problems except for the gift pigeon(s). The birds will be raced and owned in the name of Coutts & McKay. All the birds will be on the Darkness system. The birds will compete in all club racing. They will be recorded by the ETS system and race marked at the Sunnybank R P C or as applicable to the Aberdeen Federation. On reaching 40 entries another syndicate will be started and as last year I will try and make an Aberdeen syndicate and a North syndicate if we fail to get 40 applicants for any syndicate outside entries will be used to make up the numbers. There will be no limit on the number of syndicates. The Aberdeen Federation Y/Bird programme will be the training races. All training and the final race will be with the Aberdeen Federation. The Final race being the last Federation race, all birds left and fit will go to the race. In the event of a race being cancelled, this race will be discarded completely. In the event of the last race being cancelled or no birds timed, the last race flown will be used to payout the prize money. This guarantees the prize money will be paid out. The birds will go to the SNFC Y/Bird race. If the owner during the one loft race wants to pool the bird any pool winnings for that bird will be paid to the owner. We paid out £5033 in the first year 2008 The biggest prize money North of the Forth Each bird will cost £60. This includes a free entry into the raffle. Each syndicate will have a gift pigeon for the raffle. Premier Stud & Mickey Betts have donated birds. 40 birds will be made available per syndicate. First prize £1000 Second prize £500 Third prize £250 10 extra birds will be available. If your bird is lost after the draw on Sunday 31st May you will have the opportunity to activate one of these birds at a cost of only £25. Only lost or injured birds can take up this offer so there will be only 41 pigeons in the syndicate and all money and participants do not change. Replacements will be on a first application basis; after the 10 are gone there can be no more replacements. It is hoped to again sponsor each training race (7) to the tune of £50. . Any club or business can purchase a bird why not buy a bird for club funds. We have birds purchased for CLAN the cancer unit at Caroline place Aberdeen we also have donations for special schools by members of Pigeon Basics This race is being run to generate interest in pigeon racing NOT for profit. It is hoped to have a free barbecue on Sunday 31st May to draw the birds and raffle. I also hope to have a free barbecue at the final race.
