  6. but my question is when hen were in menopause ?
  7. Best Answer - Chosen by Voters The average age of a pigeon in captivity is from about 8-15 years. Both I and others of my friends have had some which have lived into their early 20's, but usually during the last year or so, the bird is pretty wobbly. There is one record of a bird, Kaiser, a World War I, German war bird which was captured by American forces and brought to the U.S., which lived 35 years, but that has to rank as exceptional. In the wild, most pigeons likely live to an average of 5-6 years, with most deaths happening as with all wild animals, during the first year or so of life while the youngster is still somewhat naive about predators, other dangers, and where to find food. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061007095822AAFWnyq Pigeons average 3-5 years in the wild, versus up to about 15 years in captivity. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_long_do_pigeons_live_out_in_the_wild
  8. dr all, the truth is i'm not well conversant in English, so i really dont understand what some of u say. but i dont mind if there is something wrong. i just want to assure that my bird is not on menopause state and whatever they met [male top or female top] they should to lay egg. thank you all.
  9. dr pjc, it seems the birds wing is destroyed for pulling out its feather forcely. their is very little sign of new feather, i think the feathers will never come up again. but it dont hamper its normal life without flying. does birds do sex like men, i mean female on top?
  10. i got a bird which one wing is destroyed somehow, and it looks like old bird. due to its non flying capacity its run very fast. we collect it as male bird for our existing female one. after pressuring them to be pair, now we found their sex opposite as we thought. the male one is now at down when they met. we are really in confusing. if the bird is old and female then does it lay egg? there she/he is

  23. somebody told me that cut wings bird does not lay egg. is it true? i cut 5 feathers to avoid their leaving, though 1 left me and still their wing has not grow. what should i do? in the pix brown one is died, ash one left me. next white 2 become a pair. but they r too young coz when 14-12-09 i collect them they still chime, now they sound as regular pigeons. i still dont know to define male n female, so i suffer for making a new pair. i ve 6 total now, and the caged pair are mature enough to lay egg said the seller. mamun2a, Dhaka
