I am in no way condoning the price increases that this company are imposing on the fanciers but if for example you take a bird that come's from Aberdeen and it has been reported at the other end of the country in Maidstone, would you be able to go yourself and pick the bird up for £30, it will only be pigeons that the fanciers think that are worthwhile sending for that will be wanting to pay this ammount and it will leave a lot of lost birds that nobody wishes to send for so what will happen to them, maybe it is time all the Federations in England, Scotland and Wales got together and came up with some sort of plan that will allow transporters to bring stray birds closer to home where they can be then released and maybe have a chance of getting back to their own loft, I know there are stray centres in operation in various parts of the country when young birds are racing but a lot of old birds go missing as well and maybe a helping hand to bring them a bit closer to home might just give them the help they need to get home on their own
